Veteran FB John Kuhn Retiring As Member Of Packers

The Packers announced Wednesday that veteran FB John Kuhn will be retiring as a member of the team.

John was a terrific football player and tremendous teammate who contributed to many years of success for the Packers,” Gutekunst said. “He was a true professional whose work ethic and leadership set a great example both on the field and in the locker room. We want to thank John and his family for all they did for the Packers and in the community as well as wish them nothing but the best.

Kuhn, 36, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Shippensburg back in 2005. He’s spent nine of his 10 years in the NFL with the Packers before he signed a one-year, $985,000 contract with the Saints in 2016.

New Orleans brought him back on another one-year contract in 2017, but sat out the 2018 season.

For his career, Kuhn rushed for 658 yards on 217 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 90 receptions for 642 yards receiving and 28 total touchdowns.
