Veteran OLB John Abraham Returning To Cardinals This Week

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians announced Monday that veteran OLB John Abraham will return to the Cardinals this week, per Josh Weinfuss.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Abraham still has to pass concussion protocol.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously reported that Abraham had left the team after he sustained another concussion during the team’s season opener against the Chargers.

According to Schefter, Abraham has been dealing with memory loss for over a year now and this could be career-ending.

However, the Cardinals said late last week that they had yet to rule out Abraham possibly being back at some point and they planned on waiting until to see what he wanted to do.

Abraham, 36, is in the final year of his two-year, $4.6 million contract and has a base salary of $2.5 million for the 2014 season.
