Boston recently visited with the Steelers, Bills and Chargers, but it appears as though Los Angeles proved to be his best option.
Boston, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2,625,468 contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season when the Panthers cut him in a move that freed up $1,797,000 of available cap space.
In 2016, Boston appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and recorded 53 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions and seven pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 46 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
We had him featured in ourย Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
