Victor Cruz Not Contemplating Holdout

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz is not considering holding out for a raise, stating that holding out is “not in my vocabluary”, according to Mike Garafolo.

Cruz has said that he believes he deserves a substantial raise from his salary of $540,000 that he is set to earn in 2012, which is more than deserved; Cruz caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards and 9 touchdowns, ranking 3rd in the league for receiving yards behind Calvin Johnson and Wes Welker. Not bad for an undrafted free agent.

Cruz will become a restricted free agent next offseason, and after coming out of the blue last year to produce spectacular results for the Superbowl-winning Giants, surely they won’t let him walk away.
