Vikings Could Hold RB Dalvin Cook Out Until Week 11

Courtney Cronin has spoken with multiple league sources who indicated a belief that Vikings RB Dalvin Cook will end up missing the team’s next two games against the Saints and Lions.

This would keep Cook, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, sidelined through Minnesota’s bye week and allow him to return for their Week 11 matchup with the Bears.

For the time being, the Vikings have had Latavius Murray handling the workload.

Cook, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $6.35 million contract and set to make base salaries of $753,787 and $1.04 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Cook has appeared in three games for the Vikings and rushed for 98 yards on 36 carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 107 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
