UPDATE: According to Chris Tomasson, the Vikings will host free-agent QB Sean Mannion on Monday.
According to Darren Wolfson, the Vikings are expected to bring in free agent QB Sean Mannion for a visit this week after the owners meeting concludes.
Prior reports have said that the Vikings were a team to watch for Mannion, so it’s not all that surprising that they’re setting up a visit.
Minnesota is still looking for a backup to compete with Kyle Sloter.
Mannion, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year rookie contract and is currently testing the open market as a free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2018, Mannion appeared in three games for the Vikings and completed 2 of 3 pass attempts for 23 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.
