Vikings Place Kyle Rudolph On Injured Reserve

Minnesota Vikings HC Lezlie Frazier announced on Monday that TE Kyle Rudolph has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve.

Rudolph, 24, was diagnosed with a broken left-foot on Nov. 4 and was originally expected to close to a month. After failing on returning to practice, Frazier admitted last week that Rudolph “hasn’t made as much progress as originally (hoped).

Rudolph finishes the season with 30 receptions for 313 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

With TE John Carlson sustaining a concussion in Week 14’s loss to the Ravens, the Vikings could add another tight end at some point this week. As of now, undrafted rookie Chase Ford currently sits as the only healthy tight end Minnesota has available.
