Vikings Re-Sign TE Rhett Ellison To A One-Year, $2.25M Deal

The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve re-signed TEย Rhett Ellison on Tuesday.

  • Rand Getlin reports thatย Ellison receives a one-year deal fromย the Vikingsย worth $2.25 million.
  • The Vikings also formally announced the signing of CBย Marcus Sherels.

Reports were that Ellison was in talks with the Vikings about a new contract, so this doesn’t come as a complete surprise.

Ellison, 27, played out hisย four-year, $2.4 million rookie contractย that included a $300,584 signing bonus.ย His year, unfortunately, came to an end after heย suffered a torn patellar tendon during their Week 15ย win over the Packers.

In 2015,ย Ellison appeared in 15 games and caught 11 passes for 124 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Vikings.
