According to Ian Rapoport, the Vikings have informed DT David Parry that he’s being released to make room for veteran DT Tom Johnson, who was signed to a contract on Tuesday.
Parry, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Colts back in 2015. He lasted just over two years in Indianapolis before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Saints’ practice squad.
New Orleans promoted Parry to their active roster a few weeks into the regular season before placing him on injured reserve soon after.
The Vikings signed Parry to a one-year contract back in March.
In 2018, Parry has appeared in two games for the Vikings and recorded two tackles and a sack.
