According to Chris Tomasson, the Vikings have signed DE Stacy Keely to a futures contract for 2020.
Keely becomes the eighth player signed to a futures deal for Minnesota. The full list includes:
- QB Jake Browning
- TE Brandon Dillon
- CB Mark Fields
- WR Davion Davis
- RB Tony Brooks-James
- DB Kemon Hall
- CB Marcus Sayles
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Keely, 24, signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of UAB following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived coming out of the preseason and spent the entire year on the practice squad.
During his two-year college career, Keely recorded 40 total tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses in 21 career games.
