According to Rob Demovsky, the Vikings are signing LB Greer Martini.
The Vikings will also sign S Jordan Martin, previously of the San Diego Fleet, per Mike Garafolo.
Demovsky says Martini was making a strong run at a backup linebacker spot and special teams role as a rookie last season, so he’s worth watching for the Vikings.
Martini, 23, signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame in 2018. He was released in final roster cutdowns at the end of the preseason but caught on to the Packers practice squad for a month.
During his four-year college career at Notre Dame, Martini recorded 190 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, five sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and a pass defense.
Martin, 24, played four years at Toledo and one year at Syracuse. He recorded 99 tackles, one sack, one interception and 13 pass defenses in 38 games in college.
