The Minnesota Vikings announced Thursday that they’ve signed LB Reshard Cliett to a contract.
Cliett, 25, was taken with the No. 211 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Texans. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,370,484 contract when the Texans elected to waive him at the start of the 2016 season.
Cliett bounced around a bit, playing for the Broncos, Jets and Cardinals before signing a future/reserve contract with the Titans last year. Unfortunately, Tennessee cut him loose back following the draft and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.
Kansas City eventually cut him loose from injured reserve and heย sat out the entire 2017 season.
During his college career at South Florida, Cliett recorded 134 tackles, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries and seven pass defenses over the course of four seasons
