Vikings Sign Third-Round LB Chazz Surratt, OL Wyatt Davis & DE Patrick Jones, Wrap Up Draft Class

The Minnesota Vikings announced they have signed third-round LB Chazz Surratt, OL Wyatt Davis and DE Patrick Jones to their rookie contracts.

This wraps up Minnesota’s 2021 draft class.

Surratt, 24, was a two-year starter for North Carolina at linebacker after converting from quarterback. He was named first-team All-ACC each of the past two seasons. 

Surratt is expected to sign a four-year deal worth $5,015,094 that includes a $1,007,341 signing bonus. 

During his college career, Surratt recorded 207 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and eight pass defenses in 24 games at linebacker.

Davis, 22, was a three-year starter at Ohio State and was a first team All-American in 2019 and 2020. The Vikings drafted Davis with pick No. 86 overall.

Davis is expected to sign a four-year deal worth $4,884,290 that also includes a signing bonus of $912,211. 

During his three-year career at Ohio State, Davis appeared in 36 games, starting 24 of them at right guard.

Jones, 22, was a two-year starter at Pitt. In 2020, he was the team leader in sacks and named first-team All-ACC as a senior. The Vikings drafted Jones with pick No. 91 in the draft.

Jones is expected to sign a four-year deal worth $4,870,101 that includes a signing bonus of $901,891.

During his college career, Jones recorded 112 tackles, 32 tackles-for-loss and 21.5 sacks.
