Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Vikings are placing G Pat Elflein on waivers Saturday.
Rapoport explains that Elflein is healthy now and will get an opportunity to find playing time with another team.
This comes just a day after Minnesota activated Elflein from injured reserve.
Elflein, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Vikings back in 2017. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.74 million contract and set to make base salaries of $899,500 for the 2020 season.
Elflein is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
In 2019, Elflein appeared in 15 games for the Vikings and making 15 starts.
