Cardinals Not Interested In Vince Young

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that Arizona Cardinals haven’t even discussed the idea of bringing of bringing in free agent QB Vince Young, despite the reports from yesterday that he was set to workout for the team.

Somers asked people in the organization about the idea and “the reaction has not been positive.”

Young has struggled to pickup different offensive systems since he was released by the Titans, so he’s hardly a solution at this point in his career.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the Arizona Cardinals will workout former first-round pick QB Vince Young on Tuesday, per Mike Jureck.

Young was released by the Buffalo Bills, who later traded for Tarvaris Jackson, so it’s really hard to say what he has left in the tank at this point in time. The Cardinals quarterback situation was already concerning, but losing  Kevin Kolb for 6-8 weeks because of a number injuries has left them with John Skelton and Ryan Lindley.

There’s no guarantee that Young will be signed, but he’s at least getting a shot to prove that he still has something to offer an NFL team.
