Swoopes, 26, signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in 2017. He converted to play tight end in the NFL after appearing as a quarterback during his college career.
Swoopes was on and off Seattle’s practice squad before the Eagles signed him to a contract this summer. He was waived a few days later.
In 2019, Swoopes appeared in five games for the Seahawks and caught one pass for five yards.
During his four-year college career as a quarterback for Texas, Swoopes recorded 281 completions on 499 attempts (56.3 percent) for 3,038 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
