The Washington Football Team brought in seven free agents for tryouts on Monday including former Cardinals WR Hakeem Butler, according to Albert Breer

  3. WR Quartney Davis
  4. TE Temarrick Hemingway

  6. WR Dillon Mitchell
  7. QB J’Mar Smith (NFL Draft Diamonds)

Butler, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2019. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $3.3 million with Arizona.

However, Butler was placed on injured reserve last year before being waived coming out of training camp.

During his college career at Iowa State, Butler caught 110 passes for 2,149 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns over the course of 34 games and three seasons.

Smith, 23, was a three-year starter for LA Tech and was an honorable mention for All-CUSA in 2018. He wound up going undrafted out Louisiana Tech back in April before signing on with the Patriots.

New England opted to waive Smith before the start of training camp.

During his four-year college career, Smith recorded 759 completions for 1,280 pass attempts (59.3 YPC) for 9,523 yards, 51 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions, to go along with 326 run attempts for 856 yards (2.6 YPC) and 15 touchdowns.
