The full list of players who tried out includes:

  1. RB Tyler Gaffney
  2. G Jeremy Vujnovich
  3. RB Damarea Crockett
  4. T Brandon Hitner
  5. LB Justin Phillips
  6. RB William Stanback

Gaffney, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,316,600 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season when he was waived and later claimed by the Patriots.

New England ultimately waived him coming out of the preseason in 2016 with an injury designation and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. New England elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract last year, but cut him loose just a month later.

The Jaguars signed him to a contract but waived him with an injury designation a few days later. At this point, Gaffney decided to retire from football due to injuries and resume his professional baseball career.

However, he later tried out for the Texans.

At Stanford, Gaffney ran for 2,500 yards on 486 carries (5.1 YPC) and scored a total of 37 touchdowns over the course of four years.

Vujnovich, 29, wound up going undrafted out of Louisiana College and later signed on with the Packers in 2014. He spent over two years in Green Bay before catching on with the Colts following the 2015 season.

Vujnovich played two years in Indianapolis before joining the Cardinals at the start of the 2018 season. Arizona brought him back on an exclusive rights contract last year but he was once waived at the start of the regular season.

Washington signed Vujnovich to a contract this past March, but the team later decided to waive him in July.

For his career, Vujnovich has appeared in 23 games for the Colts and Cardinals and started 18 games.
