ESPN’s John Clayton reports that the Seattle Seahawks have signed TE Zach Miller away from the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders are sitting roughly $17 million over the cap which has impacted their offseason so far. Miller was a top priority for them so this will have an impact on their offensive production for the upcoming season.
Seattle will now have solid pass catching tight end to go along with Sidney Rice, Mike Williams, and Marshawn Lynch. At least they’ve given Tarvaris Jackson a shot at winning games with their offensive additions.

Raiders insider Greg Papa predicts that โZach Miller will be back with the Raiders,โย perย Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
โAl Davis didnโt just give Kamerion Wimbley $29 million to loseย Zach Miller to Tom Cable,โ Papa added.
The Seattle Seahawks met with Miller last night and appeared to be a serious option for Miller.
It’s really surprising to see such a limited amount of interest in Miller throughout the offseason. At 25, Miller is a solid pass catching tight end but his value could higher for the Raiders than some of the other teams out there.
