Lions Sign OL Brandon Thomas To Practice Squad, Release WR Noel Thomas

The Detroit Lions announced that they’ve signed OL Brandon Thomas to their practice squad and released WR Noel Thomas from the unit.

The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. CB Adairius Barnes
  2. WR Jace Billingsley
  3. WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
  4. C Leo Koloamatangi
  5. DE Earl Okine
  6. S Rolan Milligan
  7. TE Hakeem Valles (Exception)
  8. DT Christian Ringo (Exception)
  9. OT Dan Skipper
  10. WR Andy Jones
  11. OL Brandon Thomas

Thomas, 26, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2014. He spent just over two years in San Francisco before he was traded to the Lions in return for WR Jeremy Kerley.

However, Detroit elected to cut him loose less than a week later and sign him to their practice squad. Thomas returned to the Lions on a future/reserve contract this past January but was, unfortunately, among their final roster cuts.

Thomas has yet to appear in an NFL game.
