Brett Favre: “I Was At Fault” for Packers Divorce

In a radio interview with 550AM in Buffalo, former NFL quarterback Brett Favre told Joe Buscaglia he believes he’s to blame for the messy separation he endured with the Green Bay Packers organization.

“It’s over and done with. I was at fault. I feel that both sides had a part in it,” Favre said. “If you could go back, would I or them have done things differently? I’m sure both sides would. But you can’t.”

Favre joined the Minnesota Vikings in the summer of 2008 before eventually leading the Vikings to an NFC Championship Game appearance. In his second and final NFL year, injuries were the story of the season. His career ended in an unusual home game at the University of Minnesota’s stadium, due to the Metrodome’s roof collapse, against the Chicago Bears.

In recent memory, current Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said “it’s time” for the healing process to begin between Favre and the Packers. Only time will tell whether the “wounds” will heal.
