Other roster moves include:

  • WR Donteea Dye (Waived/Injured)

Dye, 23, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Heidelberg back in May of last year. He was unfortunately among the Buccaneers roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to their practice squad and eventually promoted to their active roster in October.

In 2015, Dye appeared in 10 games for the Buccaneers and caught 11 passes for 132 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also contributed 37 kick return yards.

Wright, 28, was in the final year of his two-year, $3 million contract that included $1.25 million guaranteed. He was set to  make a base salary of $1.5 million in 2016.

In 2015, Wright appeared in nine games and recorded 25 tackles, no interceptions and four pass defenses.

Johnson, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He managed to make the 53-man roster in his rookie season, but was unfortunately waived during roster cuts at the start of 2015.

The Buccaneers signed Johnson to a two-year contract back in April.

In 2014, Johnson ran for 86 yards on 29 carries (3 YPC) to go along with two rushing touchdowns and one reception for -4 yards receiving.

Westbrook, 23, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Florida shortly after this year’s NFL draft. However, he lasted just a few months in Tennessee before he was among the team’s early roster cuts.

After a brief stint on the Titans’ practice squad, Westbrook signed on to the Buccaneers’ taxi squad and was later promoted to their active roster in December.

During his three years at Florida, Westbrook caught 11 passes for 111 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
