The Kansas City Chiefs officially signed LB Martrell Spaight to a futures contract on Friday for the 2019 season.
The Chiefs have now signed two players to futures deals including:
- DT Cavon Walker
- LB Martell Spaight
Spaight, 25, is a former fifth-round pick by the Redskins in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,517,948 contract when Washington waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.
The Dolphins signed Spaight to a contract a few weeks later, but was cut loose in November. He later had a brief stint with the Jaguars.
In 2018, Spaight appeared in seven games for the Dolphins and Jaguars and recorded three tackles.
