The Atlanta Falcons announced that they’ve placed S Zeke Motta on waivers Thursday.
Motta, 24, was taken in the seventh round of the 2013 draft by the Falcons. He has two years remaining on four-year, $2,205,896 rookie contract that included $45,896 guaranteed.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Motta will free up $573,526 in available cap space while creating in $22,948 dead money.
Motta unfortunately suffered a cervical fracture in his neck in December of 2013, which led to him sitting out the entire 2014 season.
