Dan Duggan of NJ.com reports that the Giants are signing CB Michael Hunter to their practice squad on Monday.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Deontae Skinner
- WR Geremy Davis
- WR Darius Powe
- OL Adam Gettis
- DE Stansly Maponga
- DE Ishaq Williams
- CB Donte Deayon
- OT Laurence Gibson
- OT Michael Ola
Hunter, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May. He stands to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.
The Giants, unfortunately, waived Hunter coming out of the preseason before later signing him to their practice squad. He was recently promoted to the active roster only to be waived a few days later.
During his college career, Hunter recorded 98 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, a forced fumble and 12 pass defenses.
