Jets Waive WR Jalin Marshall & LB Micah Awe

The New York Jets announced Saturday that they’ve placed WR Jalin Marshall and LB Micah Awe on waivers Monday.

Marshall, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

However, Marshall was suspended four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

New York elected to waive him during the  2017 season and later signed him to their practice squad.

In 2016, Marshall appeared in 10 games for the Jets and caught 14 passes for 162 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 324 kick return yards and another 100 punt return yards last season.
