The Seattle Seahawks officially signed FB Malcolm Johnson to their practice squad on Tuesday and placed G Robert Myers on the practice squad injured list.
The Seahawks’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Kache Palacio
- OL Will Pericak
- WR Marcus Lucas
- DT Tylor Harris (Injured)
- WR Kasen Williams
- G Robert Myers (Injured)
- DT Justin Hamilton
- DB Pierre Desir
- WR Kenny Lawler
- RB George Farmer
- DE Shaneil Jenkins
Johnson, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was in the second-year of a four-year, $2,399,452 rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $525,000 this season when Cleveland cut him loose back in October.
The Seahawks signed him to their practice squad and eventually made his way to the active roster, but the team decided to waive him to make room for WR Kevin Smith.
In 2016, Johnson appeared in seven games for the Seahawks and recorded five receptions for 44 yards and lost one fumble. He also contributed one rushing attempt for two yards.
