Texans QB Deshaun Watson Expected To Play In Week 6 Despite Being Questionable

Adam Schefter reports that Texans QB Deshaun Watson is expected to suit up for Sunday’s game against the Bills, despite being listed as questionable with a rib injury.

Watson took a number of hits during last week’s game against the Cowboys and was limited during practice throughout the week.

For what it’s worth, Houston has Brandon Weeden and Joe Webb on their roster at quarterback in the event something were to happen to Watson.

Watson, 23, was taken in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft by the Texans. He signed a four-year, $13.854 million with the Texans and stands to make a base salary of $1,094,740 for the 2018 season.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Texans to pick up in 2021.

In 2018, Watson has appeared in five games for the Texans and thrown for 1,621 yards while completing 65.1 percent of his passes to go along with eight touchdowns and five interceptions. He also rushed for 201 yards and touchdown.
