NFL Notes: Dolphins, Eagles, Packers, Patriots, & Seahawks


  • Adam Caplan reports that Lions OL coach Jeremiah Washburn is expected to join the Dolphins’ staff as an offensive assistant.


  • Alex Marvez reports that the Eagles are hiring Tim Hauck as their assistant DBs coach.


Packers WR Randall Cobb (bruised lung) announced that he has been discharged from the hospital and is feeling better.

Cobb was seen splitting up blood on the sideline before being taken to the locker room and later being ruled out soon after.


  • Doug Moore reports that Patriots DE Chandler Jones has a right knee sprain, and will undergo an MRI on Monday.
  • His status for next week is unknown at this point in time.


  • Joel Corry points out that former Seahawks WR Chris Matthews and QB/WR B.J. Daniels would both get $46,000 if Seattle plays in the NFC Championship Game.
