The Pittsburghย Steelers announced that they’ve sign G Cole Manhart to a future/reserve contract on Tuesday.
Manhard becomes the 16th player to be signed to a futures deal by the Steelers since their season ended. The other players include:

- WR Tobais Palmer
- DB Al-Hajj Shabazz
- QB Dustin Vaughn
- DE Cashaud Lyons
- S Ray Vinpoal
- DB Jordan Dangerfield
- OT Matt Feiler
- C B.J. Finney
- DB Isaiah Frey
- TE Xavier Grimble
- RB Rajion Neal
- WR Shakim Phillips
- RB Abou Toure
Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.
Manhart, 24, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska-Kearney back in May of last year. He lasted just a little over a month in Philadelphia before he was waived.
Manhart signed on wtih the Saints in July, but was among their final roster cuts at the start of the season. He did, however, catch on with the Raiders on a practice squad deal towards the end of the year, but didn’t appear an in NFL game.
