Renck expects DL Malik Jackson and LB Danny Trevathan to command “top dollar” on the open market and have a number of suitors. Renck specially mentions the Raiders as a possible option for Jackson and the Bears for Trevathan.
Renck can see DB Omar Bolden and S David Burton securing more money from other teams.
In regards to RB Ronnie Hillman, Renck isn’t closing the door on a possible return.
Rick Stroud mentions that the franchise tag in 2015 for a running back will be close to $11 million, so it seems unlikely that they would use it on Doug Martin.
Michael DiRocco of ESPN thinks the Jaguars should re-sign backup QB Chad Henne this offseason. DiRocco suggests a two-year, $5-$6 million deal as something that could make sense for the two sides.
DiRocco mentions that HC Gus Bradley has said that TE Marcedes Lewis played at a high level last year. In the end, DiRocco believes they should be able to work out a new deal to keep him in Jacksonville.
DiRocco thinks the Jaguars would also be smart to re-sign DE Ryan Davis, who is a restricted free agent.
According to ESPN’s Adam Caplan, the Raiders will be “looking to add another running back” during the offseason.
