The San Francisco 49ers have claimed DE James Lockhart off of waivers from the Steelers on Saturday, according to Albert Breer.
Some other roster moves from the 49ers include:
- 49ers signed TE MarQueis Gray and OL Dakoda Shepley. (NFLTR)
- 49ers waived OL Kofi Amichia and TE Erik Swoope.
Lockhart, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Baylor back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $2.28 million contract with the Steelers.
However, Pittsburgh opted to waive Lockhart on Friday.
During his college career at Texans A&M and Baylor, Lockhart recorded 54 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two passes defended over the course of four seasons and 28 games.
