Pro Football Talk is reporting that 49ers ILB NaVorro Bowman’s MRI on Monday revealed tears to his ACL and MCL ligaments.
- ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Bowman is expected to be ready for the start of the 2014 season.
- Schefter adds that Bowman will undergo surgery on his torn ACL.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the 49ers believe ILB NaVorro Bowman has both a torn ACL and MCL.
- Florio adds that an MRI has yet to be conducted.

49ers HC Jim Harbaugh told reporters following Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks that preliminary exam showed that ILB NaVorro Bowman suffered ACL injury.
Harbaugh also mentioned that G Mike Iupati has been diagnosed with a fractured left ankle.
Iupati was selected to the Pro Bowl this year, but he will clearly be replaced in the coming days. A fractured ankle will of course require some offseason rehabbing, but he could be ready to go in time for training camp this summer.
