According to Matt Barrows, Tartt’s injury is not considered to be a long-term concern after apparently sustaining the injury during June’s minicamp.
49ers HC Chip Kelly said Tartt “tweaked” a muscle and is expected back within the next couple of days, so there really isn’t much concern that he will miss time.
Tartt, 24, was a second-round pick of the 2015 NFL Draft and was signed to aย four-year, $5.037 million rookie contract that contains $2.972 million guaranteed.
In 2015, Tartt appeared in 15 games and recorded 65 total tackles, two sacks, one interception, one forced fumble and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focusย rated Tartt as the No. 80 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
