Pro Football Talk reports that the San Francisco 49ers have, in fact, re-signed veteran WR Kassim Osgood.
Osgood, 34, re-signed with the 49ers back in March, but he was unfortunately one of the team’s roster cuts last weekend. San Francisco brought him back on Tuesday only to release him a few days after as they cleared room for G Alex Boone.
Recent reports mentioned that the 49ers were likely to bring Osgood back at some point this week, so this move should come as no surprise.
He appeared in 14 games for the 49ers last season, but totaled just one reception for 17 yards last year. Osgood also contributed on special teams as well.
