Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the San Francisco 49ers have released DT Christian Tupou.
Tupou was signed on January 22 to a reserve/future contract. He was released in a corresponding move to the 49ers’ signing of QB Josh Johnson, to make room on the 90-man roster.
Tupou, 25, went undrafted out of USC, but was signed by the Chicago Bears in 2012.
