The San Francisco 49ers announced Sunday that they’ve signed nine players to their practice squad including:
- WR Steven Dunbar Jr.
- TE Ross Dwelley
- CB Emmanuel Moseley
- QB Nick Mullens
- DB Tyvis Powell
- DL Niles Scott
- LB Pita Taumoepenu
- OL Najee Toran
- RB Jeff Wilson Jr.
Powell, 24, signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2016. He was in the first year of a three-year, $1.62 million contract when Seattle decided to waive him.
Powell had brief stints with the Browns and Colts before returning to the Seahawks a few weeks into the 2017 season. The 49ers later added him to their practice squad before promoting him to their active roster in December.
In 2017, Powell appeared in three games and recorded five tackles.
