The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they’ve signed LB David Mayo to a contract.

Mayo, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year rookie contract with the Panthers and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2018, Mayo appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and recorded 14 tackles and a pass defense.
