The San Francisco 49ers have placed DB Briean Boddy-Calhoun and DE Alex Barrett on waivers Monday, according to Tom Pelissero.
Boddy-Calhoun, 26, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota back in 2016. He was waived a few months later and claimed off of waivers by the Browns.
After being declined a restricted contract by Cleveland, he signed a one-year deal with the Texans back in March but was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
The Texans re-signed him back in March of 2019 but cut him loose after claiming CB Vernon Hargreaves off waivers from the Buccaneers. The Colts signed him toward the end of last season but declined to tender him a qualifying offer as a restricted free-agent.
The 49ers signed him to a contract last week.
In 2019, Boddy-Calhoun appeared in three games for Houston and Indianapolis and recorded 13 total tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.
