The San Francisco 49ers released LB Chase Thomas from the reserve/non football injury list on Monday, according to the NFL transactions release.
Thomas, 25, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the team before he was later waived and claimed by the Raiders.
Since then, Thomas had brief stints with the Falcons and Packers before joining the 49ers in May of last year.
Unfortunately for Thomas, he tore his right ACL during an offseason workout this past March, and was later placed on the reserve/non football injury list
In 2014, Thomas appeared in five games and recorded three tackles.
