Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Giants have tendered contracts to six exclusive rights free agents on Friday.
Jordan Raanan mentions that this group likely consists of: P Brad Wing, TE Jerome Cunningham, RB Orleans Darkwa, WR Myles White, S Bennett Jackson, and TE Will Tye.
Tye, 24, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Stony Brook back in May of last year. He wound up seeing more action than many expected after the Giants sustained some injuries at the tight end position.
In 2015, Tye appeared in 13 games for the Giants and caught 42 passes for 464 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 45 tight end out of 67 qualifying players.
