Chiefs Sign OL Zach Sterup To Practice Squad

The Chiefs have signed OL Zach Sterup to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

The Chiefs will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:

  1. WR Frankie Hammond
  2. ILB Terrance Smith
  3. RB Darrin Reaves
  4. DL David King
  5. G Jarrod Pughsley
  6. WR Seantavius Jones
  7. DE Bobby Richardson
  8. RB Zac Brooks
  9. DT T.J. Barnes
  10. CB Tyler Patmon

Sterup, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Nebraska back in May, but received an invite to participate in the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The Chiefs later signed him to a three-year, $1.62 million contract.

He was suspended in August for the first four games for violating the policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Sterup started 17 games for Nebraska during his college career.
