Adrian Peterson Could Begin Training Camp On PUP List

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier seemed to suggest that RB Adrian Peterson could be placed on the PUP list for the start of training camp.

“(Based) on where he is today, everything is moving in the right direction. I don’t know if we’ll put him on the practice field anytime soon when we get to (camp),” Frazier said, via ESPN 1500 Twin Cities. “But everything indicates there’s a very good chance he may be ready for (Week 1).”

The Vikings would be placing him on the active PUP list, which would allow him to come off of it before the start of season. If he remained on the list by Week 1, he would ultimately be forced to miss the first six games of the season.

Everything that we’ve heard to this point suggests that Peterson will be ready for the start of the season, despite the fact that he tore both his ACL and MCL late in the season last year.
