Adrian Peterson To Resume Practice Next Week?

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson mentioned that he still has numbness in the patellar tendon area following surgery to reconstructed knee.

“There are no indications Adrian Peterson won’t be ready for opener at this point“, Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said, per Tom Pelissero. “Everything that he’s done, he’s right on point.”

Peterson wants to take hits in preseason games to see how his knee responds. His practice debut could come as soon as Sunday when the Vikings return to work following Friday’s exhibition opener at San Francisco. Frazier may target the third preseason game on Aug. 24 against San Diego if Peterson begins practicing in some capacity next week. Peterson next evaluation on his knee is scheduled for Sunday.
