Bills
- According to the Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia, Bills DE Trent Murphy has $500,000 of his $1 million roster bonus becomes fully guaranteed on the fifth day of the league year.
- Bills S Jordan Poyer‘s three-year, $22.7 million extension includes a $3 million signing bonus, base salaries of $1.525 million, $6.275 million and $5.6 million. (Aaron Wilson)
- Poyer will also receive a $4 million roster bonus the seventh day of the 2020 league year and a $500,000 roster bonus the fifth day in 2022. Poyer’s 2020 base is guaranteed, while $4.775 million of his 2021 base is guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed the fifth day of the 2021 league year.
- Poyer has up to $400,000 in annual per-game active roster bonuses and an annual $500,000 interception incentive. (Wilson)
- Bills DT Vernon Butler‘s two-year, $15 million deal includes a $2 million signing bonus along with base salaries of $2.8 million guaranteed and $5.5 million, $1.5 million of which is guaranteed for injury at signing. (Wilson)
- Butler has a $3 million roster bonus due the fifth day of the 2020 league year roster bonus, and a $1 million roster bonus due the same day in 2022. He also has an annual $750,000 sack incentive and a $1.5 million base escalator based on sacks in 2021.
Dolphins
- Per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Dolphins C Ted Karras turned down a two-year deal with more money in New England to pursue a starting opportunity with Miami and try the market again next year.
- The Dolphins were one of the teams to kick the tires on CB Trae Waynes before he signed a three-year, $42 million deal with the Bengals. (Darren Wolfson)
- Dolphins LB Kamu Grugier-Hill‘s one-year, $3 million deal includes a $2 million signing bonus, $1 million base salary and up to $500,000 in playing-time incentives. (Wilson)
Jets
- The Athletic’s Connor Hughes says the Jets aren’t willing to meet the Redskins’ price of a second-round pick for LT Trent Williams, and while they’re not necessarily out, spending big money on OT George Fant in free agency makes acquiring Williams less likely.
- Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News says the Jets showed no interest for DE Dante Fowler, who signed with Atlanta. Mehta says some people didn’t see him as a character match for GM Joe Douglas.
- However, ESPN’s Rich Cimini reports the Jets were interested, just not at the price he ended up signing for.

Patriots
- ESPN’s Mike Reiss says the Patriots are expected to add a third quarterback to their roster which now includes 2019 fourth-round QB Jarrett Stidham and Cody Kessler.
- Reiss mentions Panthers QB Cam Newton, Bengals QB Andy Dalton, Redskins QB Alex Smith and Colts QB Jacoby Brissett as some potential trade options for New England.
- Reiss adds the Patriots could also choose just to sign a veteran backup, draft a rookie and roll with Stidham for 2020.
