AFC East Notes: Bills, Dolphins, Patriots

Bills

Dolphins

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker said that his career has not gone as planned through his first three years in the league.

Not where I wanted to be,” Parker said, via Shandel Richardson of the Sun-Sentinel. “Just simple as that.”

Regarding former teammate WR Chris Chambers‘ statement that Parker has a poor work ethic and maturity, he responded that he has fulfilled the expectations of coaches.

I do everything that the coaches tell me to do,” Parker said. “I just listen to what they say and they tell me what I need to do. … I come up here and just work hard every day. They tell me what I need to work on,” said Parker.

Patriots

Patriots QB Tom Brady told reporters on Thursday that he doesn’t think his offseason was any different for him, even though he skipped voluntary workouts.

“I don’t think this offseason was any different for me,” Brady said, via Michael Giardi of NBC Sports Boston. “I thought about the things I needed to do and focused on those thing so I can be the best I can be when training camp comes.”

Brady didn’t commit to participating in the remaining voluntary workouts this summer.

Regarding his contract, Brady said that it’s a personal situation and not something he would discuss publicly.

“I’ve never talked about my contract,” Brady said. “I’ve never brought up money for a lot of reasons that I’ve said over the years. Those things are very personal.”

Brady added that his relationship with HC Bill Belichick is “great.”

“It’s great and we’ve always had a great relationship,” Brady said. “I’ve been here for a long time and I love this team and I love this organization and I love playing quarterback for them. I loved it last year and I’m having fun now, so that’s obviously what’s most important.”
