Dolphins
- Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald believes five players on the Dolphins could have a case to make the Pro Bowl, including LT Laremy Tunsil, LB Kiko Alonso, K Jason Sanders, CB Xavien Howard, and DB Minkah Fitzpatrick.
- Jackson writes that it would be “very surprising” if Jake Brendel does not start at left guard in Week 12 after Dolphins HC Adam Gase praised his play last Sunday: “He did well. He played very aggressive. He finished as well as anybody that was playing on Sunday.”
- Jackson says the Dolphins “need to consider” giving DT Vincent Taylor more playing time next season after he recovers from a season-ending foot injury and points out that Taylor averages one tackle every 8.6 snaps.
- According to Armando Salguero, Dolphins CB Bobby McCain has officially cleared the league’s concussion protocol.
Jets
- Jets HC Todd Bowles would not rule out QB Sam Darnold (foot) from playing in Week 12 and said he is “getting better.” (Connor Hughes)
Patriots
- The Patriots limited the following players in Wednesday’s practice: QB Tom Brady (knee), TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back), S Shaq Mason (calf), RB Sony Michel (knee).
- Patriots TE Dwayne Allen (knee) and WR Julian Edelman (foot) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.
