Dolphins
- Dolphins S Reshad Jones announced that he underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder on Friday. (Cameron Wolfe)
- According to Joe Schad, Jones should be good to go for the start of training camp.
-
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald runs through a number of roster moves he would make this offseason to aid the team’s plans to bottom out this offseason.
-
Salguero would either trade or release QB Ryan Tannehill and S Reshad Jones, even though parting with Jones wouldn’t do much for their immediate cap situation.
-
From there, Salguero would release DE Robert Quinn, DE Andre Branch, G Josh Sitton, DL Akeem Spence, WR Danny Amendola and WR DeVante Parker for a total cap savings of $42.4 million.
-
Salguero would even trade CB Xavien Howard if a team were willing to part with a first-round pick for him.

- Shawn Jefferson โ Assistant Head Coach Offense/Wide Receivers
- Jim Bob Cooter โ Running Backs
- John Dunn โ Tight Ends
- Frank Pollack โ Offensive Line
- Derek Frazier โ Assistant Offensive Line
- Bo Hardegree โ Offensive Assistant
- Frank Bush โ Assistant Head Coach Defense/Inside Linebackers
- Andre Carter โ Defensive Line
- Joe Vitt โ Senior Defensive Assistant/Outside Linebackers
- Blake Williams โ Defensive Assistant
- Eric Sanders โ Defensive Assistant
Patriots
-
Doug Kyed of NESN mentions that the Patriots would be smart to sign QB Tom Brady to an extension this offseason not only to keep him under team control for another year, but to lower his $27 million cap hit and free up some extra cap room to work with this offseason.
-
Kyed believes the Patriots’ top priority should be to re-sign DE Trey Flowers.
-
Kyed’s best guess is that OT Trent Brown will depart in free agency and the Patriots replace him with Isaiah Wynn.
-
No matter what happens with TE Rob Gronkowski, Kyed thinks New England would be wise to draft a tight end high this year, especially considering the depth at the position.
