AFC North Notes: Bengals, Browns, Ravens

Bengals

Browns

  • ESPN’s Field Yates thinks the Browns make sense as a landing spot for former Saints G Larry Warford to solidify their starting right guard position.
  • Jeremy Fowler adds free-agent DE Jadeveon Clowney would be a big boost for the Browns and it wouldn’t be hard to free up more space for him by cutting DE Olivier Vernon, who is slated to make $15.5 million without guarantees in 2020.

Ravens

  • Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Ravens director of player personnel Joe Hortiz said the team was impressed with how well third-round WR Devin Duvernay and sixth-round WR James Proche caught the ball: “As receivers, first and foremost, the one thing they both do is catch the ball, and I mean catch it. Between the two of them, there are very few drops in the state of Texas.”
  • Combined with last year’s class of Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin, who were first and third-round picks respectively, Ravens GM Eric DeCosta told Clifton Brown of the team website they’ve taken a good swing at giving QB Lamar Jackson weapons: “We feel really, really good about that. We love the mix of personalities and players and the upside and leadership that we’ve got. And I think Lamar’s got a great chemistry with those guys as well. We think our younger guys are going to continue to make a jump.”
  • ESPN’s Matt Bowen writes the Ravens could be a strong fit for former Titans TE Delanie Walker as they utilize multiple players at the position and Walker likely wants a shot at a Super Bowl.
