Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome told reporters on Friday that he will still be involved with the team after his final season as the team’s general manager.
“The role will be] very similar to what he’s been with me,” Newsome said, via Jamison Hensley. “I’ll just be a resource for him, a resource for Steve (Bisciotti) and a resource for John (Harbaugh).”

- Jeremy Fowler of ESPN writes that the Steelers have more flexibility in the 2018 NFL Draft sinceย Ben Roethlisberger is committed to returning, which leads Fowler to believe that the team will likely draft a defensive player with their first-round pick.
- In addition, Steelers GM Kevin Colbert said that he hopes Roethlisberger will return after he completed the final year of his two-year deal:ย “We know Ben is a franchise quarterback. Ben is a Hall of Fame quarterback,” Colbert said Wednesday. “We want Ben to have whatever years we have left with him. We want him to be the best, and we hope there is more than year to year. That he can go beyond the contract that he has.”
